The first thing I want to discuss is the scene when they were in Room 23. From the moment we found Jin in the chair I knew we were in Room 23. I probably had an unfair advantage to other fans since I watched the episode "Not In Portland" two days before it aired. Even though it looked slightly different than it did in the season 3 episode, I still saw the megaphone and the viewing screen before he flipped the switch.
After Jin turned of the video Zoey walked in the room with the DHARMA Initiatives map of all the pockets of electromagnetism on the island. Now unless they planned on showing us at least a hint of DHARMA later this season there would be no point in showing us this map. We also learned that she was the subs Physicist. Something tells me she will play a bigger role in the season than guiding the sub to the island.
We finally see Desmond on island. I was actually scared that we wouldn't see anymore Desmond on island this season, never been so glad to be wrong.
The best part of scene of island (besides Sun's strip tease *wink*) was the brief fight scene with Mikhail. It's a shame he had to die though.
There were a few good one liners in this episode. For example when Miles said "Unless Alpert is covered in Bacon grease I don't think Hugo can track anything".
The runner up was the exchange between Ben and Illana, "For the last time, I was gathering mango's and I found knocked out under the tree. Why don't you believe me? Because your speaking".
What I would rate this episode, I'd probably have to give it a B. It would probably a B+ if we saw it before Ab Aeterno.
